Location:    Runnels County, 10 miles east of Ballinger, Texas. Joins Talpa Ranch on the south border.

Terrain:        Secluded valley ranch surrounded by mountains on both sides. Abundant native grasses, including side-oats grama, hairy grama, buffalo grass, curly mesquite and Texas winter grass excellent for livestock and native wildlife.  The ranch has large Mesquite trees and some Live oak.

Nearly 2 miles of Wire Hollow Creek and part of Live Oak Creek. Excellent water shed from mountains on both sides. For additional water, there are three water taps on the Ballinger waterline and one on the Abilene waterline.

 

 

Hunting:      Outstanding hunting on the Wire Hollow Ranch. "Best hunting in Runnels County," Texas Parks and Wildlife biologist. Good numbers of White tail deer, with 1 deer to every 10-12 acres.  Abundant quail and Rio Grande Turkey.   

 

 

 

Minerals:    Owner reserves 1/2 of wind rights.  New owner receives 1/4 of total oil & gas royalties.
